On this first month anniversary of Julie’s service I have at last been able to watch the service recording.

It has prompted me to write to thank you for the professional way in which you presented Julie’s life to us all with such beauty and dignity.

Unfortunately things have not gone well over the last month as Julie’s brother Bill also passed away last Sunday and we had his service on Friday.

Whilst being at Bill’s service was a bit like reopening a partly healed wound and rubbing salt in to it, watching Julies service and your excellent delivery has been quite cathartic and a needed reminder that whilst we will always remember the loved ones who have passed on, we have the life we have and must also make the most and get on with it.

Thank you for your help in our days of need.

I have been to quite a few funerals over the years (church and funeral parlor) and none, and I honestly mean none compare with your presentation.

Things have settled after our big day and I wanted to take the time to write to you and give you our sincere thanks for Mum’s beautiful ceremony today.

Words cannot describe just how you conducted Mum’s service (from a potentially down-and-out day) to a really true celebration of her life.

Even though funerals are generally very sad – it was a celebration of life.

Everyone wants their wedding to be special and so it should be! It is one of the most significant events in your life.

You have probably already given a great deal of thought to the location for the ceremony and the reception, the outfits for the bridal party, THE dress, the music and perhaps even the guest list. Of course these things are all crucial if your day is to be as you wish.

However, the most important aspect of your wedding day is the ceremony itself. The words that you say to each other, in the presence of your family members and your friends are what can make your wedding truly unique. Your wedding vows can be written from your heart.

I would consider it a great privilege to be able to officiate at your wedding and I would be delighted to help you create a ceremony that sincerely reflects your relationship with each other. After an initial ‘no obligation’ meeting, if you decide that I am the right person for your wedding ceremony, a subsequent meeting is arranged.

At this time, your Notice of Intended Marriage is completed – you will need to provide proof of identity at this meeting. Your wedding date is booked by paying a non-refundable booking fee. I will provide you with information about Marriage and Relationship Education – this is a legal requirement.

We can then determine your wishes for the ceremony and I can prepare the ceremony exactly the way you would like. If you are unsure, I can provide resources to assist you to make those decisions. I will liaise with you in person or by phone, email or fax until you are satisfied that the ceremony is right for you. Shortly before the wedding date, we will have an on-site rehearsal to ensure that everyone involved feels comfortable with their role on the day.

I will ensure that all certificates and documentation for lodging with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages are completed.

After the ceremony I will make available your own written, keepsake copy of the ceremony presented in an attractive folder.
